Lithology and Thickness

According to S. S. Kara petov (1964), the section of the described deposits is three-membered. The lower part of it (15 m) is made up of red-colored sandstone limestones and sandstones. The middle part (50 m) is composed of limestones. The upper part (80-100 m) is made up of dolomites. The total thickness of the considered Upper Carboniferous - Permian deposits is about 160 m.

Lower contact

They lie with an unconformity on the limestones of the Moscovian stage of the Middle Carboniferous.

Fossils

In the lower part, remains of late Carboniferous brachiopods Derbia regularis Waag., Dictyoclostus moelleri (Stuck.), Septosyringothyris pamirensis Volgin, etc. In the middle part, remains of late Carboniferous and early Permian foraminifers Triticites simplex Schellw., Tr. incisus Schellw., Parafusulina ferganica M.-Macl., and rugose corals: Caninophyllum ci. gurovi Fom., C. ex. gr. domheri Fom., Caninia ex gr. ruprechti Stuck. In the upper part, characterized by shells of late Permian foraminifers Reichelina? sp., Codonofusiella sp., Polydiexodina darvasica Dutk.
